Menstrual cramps can be one of the most difficult days for women as they not only fight changes in mood and body, but also the unrest and pain it causes.

More than half the women suffer from dysmenorrhoea or menstrual pains for 1-2 days a month. Some may experience mild pain and some may experience difficulty. Source

Concentrated on the lower abdomen, the pain can also radiate to lower back or thighs for many women.

Studies suggest that symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) are potentially related to low prostaglandin (PGE 1). Hemp seed oil which is rich in Gamma Linolenic Acid assists in production of PGE 1, hence countering these symptoms
